What affects music selections among man teenagers?
Radios, Television courses and the Internet are some of the things that affect which kind of music a youngster listens to. These factors determine what kind of music is usually ‘normal' for the teenager. In Jamaica, Reggae, Dancehall, Hip hop and Hip-Hop are considered ‘normal' while the Region or Mountain genre will be considered as ‘white people music'. They are known as ‘mass media' which impact what the teenagers listen to.
Good friend and family can also know what the teen listens to. For someone to become ‘friend' to begin with, there must me personally common interests, so if a friend was to introduce a fresh genre or perhaps song for the teenager, he is more likely to get and listen to it that if a stranger did. In the matter of family, in the event that they recognize that some of the musical content in a few genres are inappropriate intended for the teenager, they may stop them by listening to all those genres and giving him more ‘appropriate' music, like Gospel.
